Well guys I finally figured out how to downgrade from iOS 5.0.1 to 5.0. on my 3Gs. I don’t know if this method works on other models but its worth a try.

Now that the legal stuff is out of the way (and you’re willing to continue) you’ll need:
The latest version of Tiny Umbrella v5.01
A custom 4.3.3 IPSW
Stock 5.0 IPSW
The latest version of iTunes
The latest version of Redsn0w
First of all, open Tiny Umbrella and start the TSS server. Then open up Redsn0w, click on “Extras” and click on the button that says something like “…to restore to a custom IPSW” Follow the on-screen instructions… Now open-up iTunes and after putting your phone in DFU mode Restore to custom 4.3.3. Now update your phone to iOS via my previous tutorial… Now you have a jailbroken version of iOS 5:)
If you’ve recently updated and jailbroken your iPhone on iOS 5.0 then you’ve probably noticed that after it being completely drained (2% battery) and shutting down, and you plug it in to power….. the phone opens up to a green screen… Don’t worry (like I did:) ) this is not a big problem. It can easily be fixed.
Just keep your phone plugged in to power and it should boot up to a normal Apple logo. If that doesn’t work hold the Power and Home button until the phone restarts. Well that’s it for today:)
Well you probably got excited at the news that Siri had been ported to the older iPhones and decided to install it on your iPhone… Like me:P You then found out it hadn’t worked and decided to uninstall it… Only to find your iPhone stuck in a boot loop (unending apple logo). Well I finally found a way (after many bruises to my head) to fix it.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage done to your phone by following this tutorial. Execute the steps at your own risk!
First of all you will need to put your iPhone in DFU mode. That is done by holding the power and home button for about 10 seconds then releasing the power button, keeping the home button pressed for about 15 seconds. You should now be on a black screen.
Plug-in your phone to iTunes 10.5 and click on Restore. Follow the steps and after about an hour or so your phone should now be running 5.0.1
For Jailbreakers: Get the newest Redsn0w from the Dev-Team Blog
Click on “Extras” and point it to the iOS 5.0 IPSW. Now click “Back” then “Jailbreak” and follow the steps shown. You should now be running a tethered jailbreak for all devices except for iPhone 3Gs old-bootrom (untethered)
Well thats it:) If you have any questions or problems feel free to post them in the comment section.
Attention: For the time being, Ultrasn0w won’t work on iOS 5.0.1 even if you have the corresponding baseband:(
